What Pearson will actually do
- Items
- 150 total · 135 scored · 15 pretest, mixed in so you cannot spot them
- Time
- 3 hours. This book uses the same pace: 72 seconds per item.
- Break
- 10 minutes after item 75, only after you review section 1. Starting the break locks those answers.
- Item types
- Multiple choice, drag-and-drop matching, hot spot, and short animations or comic strips.
- Score
- Pass or fail. PMI does not publish a numeric cut score.
- Window
- Once eligible you typically have one year and up to three attempts. Confirm the live rule on pmi.org.
